It is not the firewall, what else could this be? There is something blocking connections to Skype servers on my computer (Windows 10). i have tried this for both chrome and safari, but have had no luck. i download the plug in and go through the process, but the web app does not recognize that i completed the step. When I paste the meeting URL into the Skype Meeting app, it automatically sends me back to the web app on Safari rather than joining the meeting natively. The skype web app asks me to download a plug in when i open a meeting invite. Ive been through that cycle many, many times now, thus proving the definition of insanity. Still, I can't even load Skype web now to try to download again, can't try it over the desktop app. A few minutes later a message pops up in the Lync web app that plugin installation failed. But Skype is working fine on my phone (the app) and the website at least loads (though my phone doesn't support skype web). Thought it might be a problem with either my internet connection or Skype webservers. And the website doesn't load on any browser I have. I tried to download it through Chrome, everything was going fine until a little bit past 50%, download speed was decreasing and eventually got stuck at 0 Bps.Īfter this, something weird happened.
